$100 gift certificate for attending the 2016 Pink Aid event.PinkAid gift certificate

Thank you for attending the Pink Aid event!  Since you must be an awesome person, I'm happy to give you this $100 gift certificate toward custom artwork from your photography session with me. Session fees start at $250, plus travel (if applicable). Your gift certificate can be used towards custom prints, wall art or an album.  All of my sessions take place either outside (such as a park) or in your own home.  I'm based in Brooklyn, New York, but I'm happy to come to you. If you're located more than 1 hour away from me, an in person planning and presentation session might not be possible, unless I can schedule multiple sessions in a day.  Of course it can all be done online, but in person is so much better, so talk to your friends about scheduling on the same day!

Get a sense of some of the products I offer, including the new custom 'signing book', especially great for high school seniors on the products page.  And learn more about the process here

The fine print:  The gift certificate cannot be applied toward a session fee, and it's not redeemable for cash.  It can't be combined with any other offers, and it can only be used for newly booked sessions.  The sessions can be for family, children, high school seniors, couples, and maternity.  If you don't see what you're looking for in this list, ask me!  It can also be given to someone else as a gift.

What does Carey Kirkella Photography have to do with Pink Aid and it's event attendees?

Fundraisers for breast cancer are near and dear to my heart because my sister passed away from metastatic breast cancer at the age of 40, three years ago. We only knew she was sick for four months before she passed. Especially as a professional photographer, I wish I had a portrait of my sister and I together as adults that reflected the special connection we had, as well as our different personalities.  I recently began a personal photography project of portraits of breast cancer survivors with their sisters.  Through this project, I would like to provide a lasting memory for breast cancer survivors and their sisters by creating beautiful portraits for them.  I plan to photograph sisters across the country and self publish a book of the images.  Ultimately, my goal is to donate proceeds from the book to be used for metastatic breast cancer research and treatment.  It can also be used as a fundraising tool for breast cancer non-profit events.

I also started a website sistersproject.info, where people can share their own 'sister story' related to breast cancer, along with a few of their own personal images.  If you or someone you know would like to get involved, please contact me at carey@sistersproject.info.

To help make the project possible, and so I can continue to make these portrait sessions free for the women who want them, please consider making a donation, or sharing this link to the fundraiser with others.

Donors will receive a print, notecards, or digital download from my landscape series based on Feng Shui art cures.  Details coming soon!

Thank you so much!
